Science 7: Goo lab was due today. Students were given an assignment to complete a title page for our first unit of study - Structures and Forces. The title page is due Monday. We spent the rest of the class attempting to build our own structures using 5 recipe cards and some masking tape. We'll finish marking them tomorrow.

Science 8: There was a homework check for the two pages due today. We began topic 2 dealing with microscopes. Students have a 2-page workbook due tomorrow on the proper care and handling of microscopes. Students were also given a vocabulary workbook that can be done during class time. It is meant to be something to work on when students have completed assignments/activities early. The booklet is not due until the end of the unit (November). I will provide about a week's notice as to an exact due date.
Make sure that all Lab Safety Contracts are handed in tomorrow as we are planning to work with the microscopes and those not handing in a contract will not be doing the activity.
